Examples use an illustrative US$3.00/m² rate and 7% extra material allowance. They are not product prices or HESU quotations.
Worked example: a 100 m² roof
At an example material rate of US$3.00/m², a 100 m² roof with a 7% allowance uses a budget area of 107 m². The sheet estimate is 107 × US$3.00 = US$321. Add US$40 for accessories and US$20 for packing, and the material total becomes US$381, or US$3.81 per roof m². All prices in this example are illustrative.
Quick estimate: roof area × (1 + allowance ÷ 100) × material rate + entered extras.
Known quantity: sheet count × price per sheet + entered extras. For a nominal-m² rate, use sheet count × total width × sheet length × rate instead.
If your quoted price already accounts for laps and waste per finished roof m², set the extra allowance to zero. Use a known material schedule for a more specific calculation.
